LOVE IS NEVER ENOUGH - since I wrote about this, because I agree fully with the author of the book with this title: psychiater Dr. Aaron Beck - NOTHING AT ALL has changed about this age-old issue, probably dating back to the day when Adam & Eve started *disagreeing*
One year has passed since I published a post, and as I mentioned already on one of my other blogs: when you find your blog BLOCKED, simple because the country I reside in (Turkey) likes to takes such stupid measures, then of course -LIFE GOES ON - even without blogs, also without The POLITICS one narrow-minded Government wants to excercise feeling *in power*
LOVE IS NEVER ENOUGH - and having a *friendship* takes a lot of effort in order to keep it a happy TWO-WAY arrangement.
That I told someone fairly recently. It is rather remarkable I think that people exist who think that THEY can do as suits them - in a friendship - and expect the other person to always initiate contact, and keep things flowing.
It takes 2 - 2 tango, dearie I told that one, and NO, I am NOT coming over to see you (again), this time - your turn - to come and visit me, and for instance come up with some enjoyable suggestions we can pursue together.
Also - I am fed up with *friends* (here) who expect me, the foreigner, to PAY for 2.
Am I *hardening* as a human being? I guess I am, but I am not really. I have become more assertive and no longer anxious to have *friends* (like that)
I just *love* some beautiful, very elegant and expensive beaded summer sandals I recently saw in a shop window here, of all places, and just could not resist them. Where I live now, bare feet throughout the summer is normal. Dutch clogs would be the most sensible footwear or when it is soggy Wellingtons. Of course that I do not do, even if it makes sense.
With these few (residential) current remarks: until posting on this blog *comes from inspiration* and seriously, really about LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH.
